Family Resource Centre

 

Our services are created with families in mind, supporting you through the early years of raising children (from prenatal to age 5). Everything we offer is completely free, because we believe every family deserves access to support and community. Our centre is a welcoming, sensory-rich space where you and your child can play, explore, and learn together.

Maternal Public Health 

Drop-in every Thursday morning from 10am -12pm for a visit/check up with maternal visiting registered nurses.

Baby and Me Yoga

Enjoying breathing, stretching, and bonding with your baby. A chance to relax and do some self care too. Wednesdays at 1:30.  Please register for this program.

Get ready to explore, create, and discover with our Sensory Play sessions! Designed for curious little hands, these fun, hands-on activities encourage creativity, sensory development, and fine motor skills through colourful, tactile experiences. Perfect for toddlers and preschoolers to learn while making a joyful mess!

Talk, Hear, and Smile Day

ssential children’s health services together under one roof! Join us on Thursday, September 4, from 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM at the Prince Albert Early Years Family Resource Centre for speech and language support, hearing tests, dental checks with fluoride varnish, and baby wellness visits with Maternal Nurses—all in one friendly, family-focused event.

Join us on Saturday, September 6, from 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM for a special morning with Knowledge Keeper Lyndon Linklater. Enjoy drumming, storytelling, crafts, and snacks as we come together to learn, connect, and celebrate culture.

Strong Starts: Celebrating Breastfeeding
Join us on Thursday, September 18, from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM at the Prince Albert Early Years Family Resource Centre for a warm and welcoming celebration of breastfeeding. Connect with local agencies and professionals, enjoy refreshments and dainties, pick up a swag bag, enter for door prizes (including a breast pump!), and capture memories at the photo booth. This event is all about supporting families, sharing information, and celebrating the journey of breastfeeding together.

A special program for caregivers and little ones (0–15 months) to explore early development together. Each week can include guest speakers, keepsake crafts, infant massage, and parents supporting parents in a warm, welcoming space.
